Hello!
So lately I've been trying really hard to eat better. Life has been hectic and I found myself just grabbing whatever I find to just get full and call it a day. I can eat big portions of only pasta or rice and no greens which is not good at all for your blood preassure or over all health. I realised I stopped shopping vegetables or any fruits at all - horrible I know :((!
So I am still at the begining of this healthier meals thing. I try to always eat some type of vegetable like carrots, broccoli, cale, avocado etc with my food. And for fruits I try to eat bananas, oranges or apples. I now I need to explore more when it comes to food.
So in this post I want to share it you what I've been enjoying as breakfast lately. I used to eat a lot of bread, with egg, cheese, butter or turkey with a cup of tea or chocolate for breakfast and top it all with some kind of pastry, like a cinnamonbun or something else. I decided to stop that and keep it simple and healthy. I will even save money and not have to buy bread every week. I now only eat oatmeal with some strawberries and blueberries.
There are so many benefits with eating oats like:
- Lower blood pressure
- Help fight diseases like cancer or heart attacks
- It contains a lot of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants
- Reduce risk for diabetes
- Lower bad cholesterol
It's on top of that an easy breakfast to make and you can simply add some sugar/honey and some fruits for taste, Enjoy!
If you have any other ideas of healthy breakfast choices, leave them below :D!

My hair products - wash day!
Hello!
So I've been gone for a while, I've had a lot going on lately. I have wanted to make this post for a while now, so here it is. I wanted to simply share the products I use when I wash my hair. I have been using different kind of products but as of right now I use the Tresemmé Naturals series. I use the shampoo and the conditioner sometimes I also use the garnier conditioner (olive oil or honey). I wash my hair every other week with shampoo but during the week I only water wash since I work out a lot now.
On a wash day I always try to prepoo my hair with olive oil and wear a plastic bag for a couple of hours to get my hair steamed by my body heat. Then I proceed to detangle the hair and then to wash with shampoo twice to really get my scalp cleaned. After the shampoo I rinse my hair with green tea (tea rinse) and massge it in to my hair. Then I put in the conditioner without washing out the green tea and I put on the plastic bag again to let the conditioner penetrate the hair, I let this sit for a few hours or if I can over night. Finally I wash it out moisturize and style my hair.
I believe that this regimen can work for alla afro hair if you're natural or relaxed, remember it's all about having healthy hair. If you have any questions or suggestions leave them below :D!!

Workout inspiration!
Hello!
Happy new month of febuary. For this month I have decided to start working out more frequently. I want to see the impact this will have on my hair growth, healthier skin, better looking body, and over all health.
For some of us it might be hard to begin working out, so here are some tips to motivate you:

For some of us it might be hard to begin working out, so here are some tips to motivate you:
- Visualize how you get rid of toxins while working out
- Working out will contribute to more scalp stimulation when you get your heart pumping and blood flushing around your whole body which will promote hair growth
- Your skin will look healthier and more radiant and clear after working out
- Get yourself some new workout clothes to get more excited
- Your body will look better and have a more toned shape
- You will feel more energized and be able to do more
I can go on and on about the benefits but working out is one of the best things you can do for your body to stay healthy, feeling healthier and happier.
Share some of your ways to stay motivated when working out!

Favorite face masks!
Hi!!!
I hope you are all well and that you've had an amazing week! I'm grateful and I thank God! This post will be all about my recent favorite face masks. I make a face mask for my face twice a week, first I exfoliate and then wear the mask. I have been usig the green clay mask and recently started with the tumeric mask.
Green clay mask
I buy this from my local pharmacist and it's in powder form that I just mix with water into a thick paste and put on my face and let it sit for a couple of minutes before washing it off. It makes my face feel cool and clean. It helps with acne and reduces blemishes.
Tumeric mask
This is my newest mask and I like it. I just mix tumeric powder with lemon juice and milk. You can mix to your own convinience. The powder can be bought in your supermarket in the spice aisle. One thing to really be carful about is to not get the powder or the mixture on your clothes beacause remember that tumeric stains. Mix it to a thick past and pout on your face and let it sit for a couple of minutes (20min). This mask helps to brighten your skin and reduces blemishes and leaves your skin looking even toned.
If you want an easier face mask you can just squeeze som lemon juice and put it on your face avoiding contact with your eyes and let it sit for a couple of minute and wash off. This helps brighten your skin, reduces blemishes and exfoliate. You can also put the lemon on your lips to exfoliate some dead skin!
Have you tried any of these face masks? whats your favorite face mask? share :)

My hair
Hi!
So it's been a while since I posted. I've been consumed with school and work. I just want to talk a little about my hair. I've had my setbacks here and there and I find it so hard to wear my natural hair out because I don't know how to style it. So I've been wearing scarves and wigs since being natural soon for 2years now. I have nothing against being relaxed or natural, it's all about knowing what works for you and how you best take care of your hair.
I had a bad microbraid experience where I lost hair around my edges more on one side than the other, and I basically decided to let my hair grow back before getting another relaxer again so here I am. I use castor oil on my edges and I've been doing it consistently now for more than 6months and I can finally see some growth now.
I'm very simple with my hair care and I plan on doing other posts about other steps I take for my hair. I plan on protective styling for 6 months and retain more growth from january to this summer of 2016.
I want to very soon incorporate working out to see how much this can affect my hair growth, I already drink a lot of water and moisturise regularly. I wash my hair every other week to keep a clean and healthy scalp as well. That's enough for know, here are some pictures of my sad edges and my hair right now. The first pictures are my edges last summer 2015, the middle one is how I protect my hair in cornrows, before putting my scarf on, I don't wear the wig anymore since I found out it was too much tension for my edges and made my edges recover slowly, the last ones are my edges today.
Stay blessed and stay tuned! :D

Health and Beauty tip for a lifetime!
Hello!!
I'm back! For this first week of january I want to share a health/beauty regimen that I have stayed consistent with for over 2 weeks now. It's drinking water with lemon every morning and night. I also try drinking more water during the day to stay hydrated (at least six big glasses), but I never skip my one glass each morning before eating anything and my last glass just before going to bed every single day.
For the morning glass I like drinking it warm. I have seen a change in my skin, I don't break out as easily and I have clearer skin, this is just the beginning so I plan on sharing pics later after being consistent with this regimen for a couple of months. I want you guys to also try it with me. I always drink my lemon water with a straw to protect my teeth, so don't forget to do that as well!
Here are just some of the benefits of drinking water with lemon:
It balances to maintain the pH-levels in the body
Helps with digestion
Helps flush out toxins and strengthens the liver
Better immune system and helps battle common cold
Great looking skin, prevents acne and wrinkles
Maintain the health of the eye, eye sight etc.
It's rich with Vitamin C and helps purify the blood
The list goes on and on and I can not say how much better I even feel, I sleep better, I don't have headaches and my skin is glowing! This is a regimen to stick to for a lifetime so let's do this together and don't forget to stay hydrated throughout the day by drinking more water.
